Boston Celtics alumni in the 2020 NBA Finals: Game 4 results

It wasn’t a good night for former Boston Celtics in the 2020 NBA Finals by any measure.

None of the three Celtics alumni still in the bubble playing for either the Miami Heat or Los Angeles Lakers had a good game, and for us fans back home, the thought of the Lakers pulling even with Boston in total title count isn’t exactly a pleasant thought either.

Los Angeles took a two-game lead in the series as they went up three games to one with their 102 – 96 win over the Heat behind big games from LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

But, we know you aren’t here to read about their successes, so let’s take a look at how former Celtics did in Game 4 of the Finals.

Ex-Boston point guard Rajon Rondo continued building the legend of “Way-off Rondo” with another poor-shooting night, the Kentucky product going 1-for-7 overall and 0-of-2 from deep.

He did manage to pull down 7 rebounds and 5 assists to go with 2 points and a steal in 28 minutes of floor time however.

Ex- Celtic center Kelly Olynyk had a rough night as well, hitting just one of four of his field goal attempts and missing both of his 3-pointers as well.

He’d score four points and two boards in 12 minutes of play.

Finally, former Celtic forward Jae Crowder also stunk it up from beyond the arc, going 2-of-7 from the field, all of which were 3-point attempts.

He’s score 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a block in 35 minutes of playing time.
