Silva latest
Midfielder Tiago Silva has been ruled out of Nottingham Forest’s clash with Bristol City this weekend, as speculation about his future intensifies.
The Portuguese has not featured so far this season due to being sidelined with an ankle injury.
He is said to be close to a move to fellow Evangelos Marinakis-owned club Olympiacos, as part of a swap deal which would see defensive midfielder Cafu head to the City Ground.
Reds head coach Sabri Lamouchi said he was not aware of any players being close to securing moves elsewhere, when asked by NottinghamshireLive ahead of this weekend’s fixture.
Transfer talk
Head coach Sabri Lamouchi was tight-lipped on the prospect of Nottingham Forest doing further transfer business before the international window closes on Monday.
But he said the club’s “priority” must be to move players on, as he looks to work with a smaller squad.
The Reds have made 12 signings so far this summer, but Lamouchi remains hopeful of adding a winger - and Olympiacos midfielder Cafu is said to be close to a move to the City Ground, as part of a swap deal for Tiago Silva.
“I don’t have any information about Cafu right now,” Lamouchi told NottinghamshireLive.

New deal
Nottingham Forest defender Jordan Gabriel has linked up with Blackpool after signing a new long-term deal with the Reds.
The 22-year-old’s new contract at the City Ground will run until 2024.
For now, he has joined up with Blackpool and is set to go straight into the League One side’s squad for Saturday’s home clash with Lincoln City.
Gabriel could come up against another Reds youngster in Brennan Johnson, who recently joined Lincoln on loan for the rest of the season.
Grosicki rumours
West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki has been tipped to leave West Brom before the transfer window closes as rumours of a move to Nottingham Forest continue to gather pace.
Reports in Poland say the Reds are keen on sealing a deal for the former Hull wideman with boss Sabri Lamouchi eager to add more quality to his attack ahead of the window closing next week.
The Poland international has not been involved in any of West Brom's matchday squads in the Premier League, but did make an appearance in the League Cup win over Harrogate Town earlier this month.
And according to Birmingham Live, the winger could be set to leave the Hawthorns with Forest, who missed out on Grosicki in January, said to be among his list of suitors.
