
POP star Jessica Mauboy will return to Newcastle next year on her The Boss Lady Tour.
Mauboy will perform at the Civic Theatre on April 1, the second night of her eight-date national tour. She'll also visit Canberra (March 30), Sydney (April 2), Brisbane (April 5), Perth (April 7), Adelaide (April 9), Melbourne (April 13) and the Gold Coast (April 16).
Joining the 32-year-old will be fellow Darwin-raised singer-songwriter Caiti Baker, who released her second album Mary Of The North last year.
The former Australian Idol runner-up, Sapphires actress and current judge on The Voice is expected to perform hits from across her 15-year career, including Burn, Pop A Bottle (Fill Me Up), Little Things and Fallin', plus cuts from her forthcoming album.
"I am so excited to announce The Boss Lady Tour mob," Mauboy said on social media. "I can't wait to see you all, with my band doing what we love the most. We'll be playing all the fan favourites and I can't wait to share new music on the tour too.
"We've planned for the tour to be in the new year, so for the time being we continue to be safe. Everyone's health is the number one priority as we navigate through these challenging times. Stay safe and love you all mob."

Mauboy last performed at the Civic Theatre in March 2017 on her All The Hits tour.
The Newcastle Herald reviewed that show and wrote: "Repeatedly Mauboy expressed gratitude towards the Novocastrian audience to reaffirm her reputation as one of the most genuine and likeable performers in Australian pop."
