It’s been two years since Bose launched its QuietComfort Ultra headphones, a premium set of cans that quickly clambered to the top of my guide to the best wireless headphones. Incredibly comfortable, they had some of the best noise cancellation I’d tested when I first reviewed them in 2023.
And now, Bose is back with the second-generation version of its flagship over-ears. At first glance, it appears to be a fairly modest upgrade. Bose has brought on board support for lossless USB-C audio, an even more intelligent adaptive noise cancellation and a new cinema mode designed for clearer dialogue when watching films or TV. These appear to be small improvements over an already great set of cans.
So, are they worth the upgrade, or do Sony’s WH-1000XM6 still hold the crown? Available to pre-order now, here’s everything you need to know about the new Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2.
