Borussia Dortmund 'very interested' in signing Man City youngster Jayden Braaf and more transfer rumours

Borussia Dortmund are looking to raid Manchester City's academy for another promising youngster in Jayden Braaf, according to reports.

Dortmund have made a habit in recent years of signing some of the world's most talented teenagers and helping them develop in world-class players, which began when they signed Jadon Sancho from City in 2017.

The German giants have already looked to repeat the trick when they signed 16-year-old Jamie Bynoe-Gittens on a free from the Blues this summer and are now being linked with another exciting winger in Braaf.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest prospects at the club and was named the Under-23s player of the year for 2019/20, however, he has played only two games so far this season and M.E.N. Sport understands he could be sold in January as a result.

It's understood that several Bundesliga clubs were interested in signing Braaf during the summer and, one to never miss an opportunity, Dortmund have now emerged as front-runners for his signature.

According to BILD, Dortmund have been watching Braaf for a 'long time' and are 'very interested' in signing him due to his similarities in playing style to Sancho.

The report adds that City would demand a fee in the region of €8-10million but, unlike the deal that saw Sancho head to Signal Iduna Park, would insist on a buy-back clause being inserted into the Dutchman's contract.

Elsewhere, City have reportedly entered the race for Bayern Munich star David Alaba.

Despite playing a crucial role in last year's treble triumph, the versatile defender is yet to come to an agreement on a new deal at Bayern and could leave the club for nothing in the summer.

Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have been heavily linked as well as City and, according to Fussball Transfers, via SportWitness City are 'thinking about' making a move with Pep Guardiola keen on a reunion.

It's added that City have a potential advantage over other clubs as they would offer Alaba a spot in midfield, a position he has long wanted to play at club level.
