Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland urged to make Liverpool transfer

Borussia Dortmund's teen sensation Erling Haaland has been urged to make the move to Liverpool in the future.

After bursting onto the scene in the Champions League with RB Salzburg, the Norwegian striker attracted interest from a host of Europe's elite sides before settling on a Bundesliga switch.

Since joining Dortmund in January, Haaland has made the step up look effortless having notched 12 goals in 11 outings taking his overall tally for the season to a ruthless 40.

Alf Ingve Berntsen, who worked with the 19-year-old talent at Byrne FK, has admitted he would love to see the youngster play in the Premier League for the Reds.

He told 90Min : “I’m a fan of Liverpool, so of course I would like to see him play for them.

“English football is by far the most popular in Norway.

"And most young Norwegian footballers dream of playing in the Premier League, as did Erling’s father (former Leeds and Man City ace Alf Inge Haaland).

“I sincerely believe that he has the skills to play at such a club."
