Erling Haaland has already delivered his verdict on Frank Lampard ahead of Chelsea transfer bid

Erling Haaland is one of the hottest properties in world football right now.

And if reports are to be believed, Chelsea are readying a summer move for the Norwegian hitman.

Haaland has 19 goals in 17 appearances for Borussia Dortmund already this season, added to the 16 he scored in 18 appearances from January to the end of last season, having made the move from Red Bull Salzburg.

There were rumours that Haaland had a £68million release clause in 2021, but that has been rebuked by Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke who said: "There is no such agreement."

That would mean the Blues would have to break the bank for Haaland were they to sign him in the summer, with reports in the Athletic stating that is exactly what Chelsea are planning to do.

The reports state that the Blues are willing to break the bank and their transfer record to land Haaland in the summer, with the goals drying up of late, with Chelsea only scoring more than once in a game in one of the last seven outings.

Haaland will have no end of suitors in the summer, given his impressive displays for Dortmund and Salzburg prior to that, with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid expected to be interested too.

However, the Blues may just have the upper hand when it comes to negotiations.

That is because frank Lampard is at the helm and Roman Abramovich may now have a very good reason not to sack the club legend.

Haaland has already delivered his verdict on Lampard, and it seems he is a fan.

, Haaland was asked who the one player he’d want to have played with that has retired and her replied: “Frank Lampard.”

Dortmund have shown in recent years a willingness to part ways with their key players for the right price, with their sales including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal and Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona.

However, they will hope to keep Haaland for a longer period although their resolve is likely to be tested this summer.
