Wilfried Zaha praised by Dortmund chief amid reports of interest in Crystal Palace star

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has praised Wilfried Zaha amid reports the Crystal Palace star is a transfer target for the club.

Reports in both German and English press this week hacve claimed the Bundesliga leaders have highlighted Zaha as a possible replacement for Chelsea-bound Christian Pulisic.

Zaha signed a new contract at Selhurst Park in the summer, but talks between both clubs have reportedly taken place with Dortmund prepared to break their transfer record for the 26-year-old.

"You must be here for the first time, otherwise you would know that we don’t comment on any transfers," he told reporters at a press conference ahead of BVB's weekend game against Hannover.

"I can only say he is a good player."

Dortmund's record fee spent on a player remains a comparatively modest €30 million, spent on Andre Schurrle in 2016.

Zaha has struggled to replicate his form of last season, with just two goals and three assists in the league. His last goal in any competition came against Huddersfield in September.
