Borussia Dortmund reveal plans to replace Manchester United target Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has admitted they are targeting forward additions to their squad in case Jadon Sancho leaves the club.

MEN Sport understands the England international remains Manchester United's top transfer priority this summer despite the financial impact of COVID-19 on the transfer market.

Sancho has scored 17 goals and registered 16 assists in the Bundesliga this term, making him one of the most sought-after forwards across Europe.

Dortmund are not actively trying to sell the 20-year-old but are aware there remains a possibility he could leave if their asking price is met.

Zorc has conceded the club are targeting new attackers in case Sancho leaves the club this summer. Asked about Sancho and a potential departure, Zorc told Kicker : "If Jadon left, we would do something again in the offensive area.

"There are certainly one or two players we are targeting."

"When you don't have a billionaire or a state backing you up, then you need to be careful how you will invest your money," Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzketold Kicker when asked about Bellingham.

"We don't have an end date for corona, without that we simply have no planning security. Should we sell Sancho, then every player will cost €5-10m more. We have nothing to give away."
