Borussia Dortmund replace Jadon Sancho's shirt number with Man United transfer imminent

Manchester United's imminent signing of Jadon Sancho now seems real after a 'leaked' image appeared online.

After last year's collapsed talks, the Sancho saga is finally reaching its conclusion this summer with Borussia Dortmund and United having agreed on a £73m transfer fee - it's expected that the official announcement of the deal will take place this week.

Although that's been widely reported, sending United fans into a frenzy as they anticipate Sancho's arrival after the European Championship, an image from Dortmund's dressing room has been 'leaked'.

In the 'leaked' image, Dortmund have seemingly given Sancho's number seven shirt to youngster Giovanni Reyna.

What number should Sancho wear at United? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Sancho might have been hoping to follow in the footsteps of some United legends that wore the number seven shirt at Old Trafford, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Eric Cantona and David Beckham, but Edinson Cavani will wear it next term after his contract extension.

We've therefore explored which shirt numbers would be available to Sancho next season, which you can view here.
