Borussia Dortmund reiterate that Manchester United target Jadon Sancho is not for sale

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has once again insisted that prized asset and rumoured Manchester United target Jadon Sancho will not be leaving the German club in the summer.

Sancho has enjoyed an incredible season in the Bundesliga this year after bursting on the scene and spearheading Dortmund to their first serious title challenge in a number of years.

The winger wracked up his 17th league assist of the season in the Revierderby against Schalke on Saturday - the most of any English player since Frank Lampard in the 2009/10 season with Chelsea - with a delicious lofted pass.

Sancho's scintillating form has seen him break into the England first team and has attracted the interest of many giant European clubs who are rumoured to be willing to pay more than 10x the mere £7m Dortmund paid for Sancho to Man City in 2017.

United and Real Madrid are reported to be particularly interested in securing his signature in order to rejuvenate their respective flailing squad.

But Zorc has said that the club are yet to receive an offer and he has told any would be suitors not to bother making one.

"No, we did not receive anything [an offer],” Zorc told Sky Sports before their game with Schalke.

"We do not expect anything and we do not want anything, because he is on our plans.

"Nobody needs to get in touch."

Zorc is not the only Dortmund boss insisting that Sancho is going nowhere this summer.

"We will not sell him, that is fact," Hans-Joachim Watzke told Eurosport Germany at the start of April.

"It is clearly discussed with every person who is involved that Jadon plays in the next season for BVB."

Despite Sancho's brilliance throughout the game Dortmund would go on to lose 4-2 to their fierce rivals Schalke, which has left their title dreams in tatters.

Sancho was also struck with a missile thrown from the crowd while celebrating the opening goal which he had created.
