Borussia Dortmund reach 'agreement' to sell Erling Haaland amid Liverpool transfer rumours

Liverpool bolstered their backline during the summer transfer window with a move for Ibrahima Konate - signing the Frenchman from RB Leipzig in a £36million deal.

However, while some supporters urged the club to do more business, that remained the only transfer the Reds made when the window on Tuesday night.

Though no more moves can be completed until January now, the transfer news keeps coming, and with that in mind, here is a round-up of the latest Liverpool rumours and gossip from around the globe.

Who?

Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland.

What?

Dortmund have reportedly placed Real Madrid at the front of the que to sign their forward Erling Haaland next summer.

The 21-year-old forward is one of European football’s hottest properties having averaged around a goal a game for the past two seasons.

Haaland has netted 63 goals in 64 games for Dortmund since joining them in the 2020 January transfer window from Red Bull Salzburg.

That impressive form has resulted in the forward being linked with a host of top clubs around Europe, including Liverpool.

But according to the report, Dortmund respected the advances of Madrid when they were notified Haaland was not for sale over this summer.

The report then goes to claim that as Real backed off immediately, Dortmund have them at the front of their list to sign the player and that Real have Haaland’s word that he will sign next summer.

Who?

AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

Where?

Italian news website Il Milanista.

What?

According to the report, Liverpool have identified Kessie as an alternative to Fabinho in the number six position.

Recent reports have claimed that Kessie has turned down the latest contract offer from Milan, alerting the likes of Liverpool and other clubs across Europe.

Kessie’s current deal with Milan expires next summer, and the Serie A club are keen to hand fresh terms to the midfielder in a bid to keep him at the club.

The report claims that Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain are also eyeing a move Kessie and that the Reds believe his perfect to fill the number six role in place of Fabinho in their team.

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

Where?

What?

Manchester United have reportedly made Declan Rice their principal midfield target in next year's summer transfer window.

That is according to the MEN, who are reporting that United figures have already discussed the potential framework for a deal to sign Rice, 22, from West Ham.

Rice is contracted to West Ham until 2024 but he is not expected to sign a new contract, making a move probable next summer as the Londoners would be under pressure to cash in.

Reports over the weekend claimed that Liverpool were one of a number of clubs eyeing a move for the England international.
