Borussia Dortmund make transfer guarantee over Manchester United target Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund have ruled out any Manchester United summer move for Jadon Sancho after they 'guaranteed' he will still be at the club next season.

The former Man City winger has been a transfer target for United heading into the transfer market as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to rejuvenate his side with young homegrown talent.

England international Sancho is one of the hottest talents in European football and was being targeted for a summer move to Old Trafford.

However, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has handed United a setback by insisting that the 19-year-old would be departing the club in the coming months.

“It can be assumed that Jadon will not play more than ten years at BVB,” Watzke told Bild. “But we have clear agreements about the present.

“Jadon is not on the market and plays next season guaranteed at Borussia Dortmund.”

Speaking earlier in the month the player himself also appeared to hand his own setback when he suggested his immediate future remains in Germany.

"Next season our target is to win, not come second," he said.

"I’m really happy with how I played this season. I wasn’t playing that much at the start of the season but was in the team more often later on. It’s all about hard work."
