Borussia Dortmund issue transfer update amid Manchester United's Jadon Sancho interest

Borussia Dortmund's managing director Carsten Cramer has issued a transfer update amid Manchester United 's interest in winger Jadon Sancho.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are keen to land the 20-year-old as a marquee addition in the next transfer window but face a battle to secure the services of the former Manchester City talent.

Dortmund, who returned to action in Saturday's 4-0 victory over arch-rivals Schalke behind closed doors, will command a high price for the winger.

However, speaking to Leaders Business, Cramer has issued an update on the upcoming transfer window and the effect of the coronavirus pandemic.

He said: "Everyone has to be as flexible as possible.

"I'm very sure loan business will be of higher relevance. It will take a longer time to plan your squad. The expectations of high fees will go down as well."

The landscape of the next transfer window is yet to be decided following the suspension of leagues across Europe, including the Premier League - which plans to return mid-June.

Clubs in the top-flight approved a return to training on Monday but group sizes are limited to five and protocols for full contact sessions are yet to be confirmed.
