Borussia Dortmund issue Erling Haaland transfer update amid Man United and Man City interest

Borussia Dortmund have reiterated their stance on Erling Haaland amid fresh interest from Europe's most elite sides.

Manchester United and Manchester City are both admirers of the Norwegian centre-forward, who scored 41 goals in 41 games across all competitions last season, but Dortmund have made it clear they have no intention to sanction an exit for Haaland this summer.

Haaland, 21, has unsurprisingly continued his rich vein of form into the new campaign, scoring six goals for Dortmund across five appearances, although fresh rumours have now emerged claiming that Paris Saint-Germain are ready to swoop for his signature.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has moved quickly to squash those reports that have been circulating, though.

Which Manchester side would Haaland be best suited to sign for? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

“We are a football club, not a bank! Our position is very clear and did not change," Zorc told Kicker.

"I assume that we will now be confronted with wild rumours for another two days.

"Our position is clear, I don't need to play the parrot all the time."

Haaland's contract at Dortmund expires in the summer of 2024.
