Borussia Dortmund eye Bukayo Saka transfer amid ongoing Arsenal contract situation

Borussia Dortmund are eyeing Arsenal's Bukayo Saka as the German giants maintain their relentless assault on English football.

The Bundesliga club have targeted the teenage Gunners' defender as they seek to plunder our domestic market again.

Dortmund are on the cusp of selling Jadon Sancho back to the Premier League with a £100m deal to Manchester United.

The Bundesliga club have targeted the teenage Gunners' ace - who has starred at left-back this term - as they seek to plunder our domestic market again.

And they are also favourites to land Birmingham starlet Bellingham as they seek to hold off the unwanted attentions of the Old Trafford club.

The latest object of their desires is Saka after he made an impressive start to life at the Emirates Stadium.

Saka, still just 18, has featured heavily in Arsenal's first-team this season after he was blooded by former boss Unai Emery in the Europa League.

But new manager Mikel Arteta has persisted with the youngster who has just 12 months remaining on his current £3,000-a-week contract.

That has brought Saka, an England international through the junior levels, to their attention amid other interest from Bayern Munich.

Saka has been one of the most impressive young players in the Premier League this season, and has scored three goals and created eight assists in all competitions.

Jude Bellingham is also wanted by Manchester United (PA)

Bellingham, meanwhile, has had a superb breakthrough season in the Championship with the Blues, and following the 16-year-old's four goals and two assists in the division he is seen as one of the most highly-sought after young prospects in European football.

It remains to be seen where the player himself sees his future, however, with Manchester United also making a big push.

Legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson recently got involved personally in talks to try to convince him to sign a deal with the Red Devils, showing Bellingham around the club's Carrington training ground.
