Borussia Dortmund coach expects Man Utd target Jadon Sancho to leave within two years

Borussia Dortmund's assistant manager has tipped Jadon Sancho to become one of the world's best players, but has accepted that it is unlikely to be with the German club.

The England international, still only 19, has been a sensation for Dortmund since his move from Manchester City in 2017, scoring 18 goals and setting up another 30 in 66 appearances for Der BVB.

Sancho was a target for Manchester United over the summer and Dortmund assistant, Jorg Heinrich, knows other clubs will come after the Englishman, who they hope to keep at Westfalenstadion for another two seasons.

"Jadon can become one of the best players in Europe, or even the world," Heinrich told Omnisport.

"It won’t be easy to keep him at Dortmund. We hope he plays one or two seasons longer but we all know very, very big clubs with a lot of money want to have him in their team.

"He should know Dortmund is an excellent place for young players to play consistently and to develop on a very, very high level."

Dortmund have long been accustom to selling their top talents to Europe's mightier powers, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ousmane Dembele and, most recently, Christian Pulisic all being plucked from Germany.
