Borussia Dortmund have admitted they are finding it difficult to deal with Jadon Sancho off the pitch.
The in-demand attacker is wanted by both Chelsea and Manchester United this summer but has recently attracted controversy away from the pitch.
Sancho was in hot water over the weekend as he labelled German football authorities an "absolute joke" following a $10,000 fine for breaking lockdown rules to get a haircut.
It was the latest in a number of off-the-field incidents that have drawn attention away from Sancho's sparkling form this season.
In October, Sancho was fined and dropped for a Dortmund match after returning from international duty late and he was then benched for a Champions League match against Barcelona after missing a team meeting.
The incidents have been enough to lead Dortmund director of football Michael Zorc to admit the club can find it difficult to deal with the attention Sancho attracts off the pitch.
“Jadon is not only an exceptional footballer who is noticeable on the pitch but now and then also outside of the pitch," Zorc told SportBild.
"Sometimes it’s not easy for us.”
Sancho's lockdown breach recently attracted criticism from his own teammates as well, with Emre Can telling the attacker he needed to grow up.
"Jadon needs a little guidance," Can told Sky in Germany. "He's a great boy, also off the pitch.
"It's true that I get along very well with him.
"He just has to be a little bit smarter about these things. Everyone needs a hairdresser. He needs to grow up. He can't afford to make mistakes like that in the future.
"We as a team are also responsible. We are not annoyed by him. We know that he has to be more disciplined in some things. But he knows that too."
