Borussia Dortmund chief issues Jadon Sancho transfer update amid Man Utd link

Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc insists there have been no offers for Jadon Sancho - despite reported interest from Chelsea and Manchester United .

But Zorc admitted he could not guarantee Sancho would stay with the Bundesliga giants beyond the summer following a hugely impressive campaign.

He became the youngest player in Bundesliga history to score 25 goals - and the first to manage the feat before his 20th birthday - as Dortmund hammered Union Berlin 5-0 on Saturday.

The strike against Union was his 15th of the campaign in all competitions and his 12th in just 18 outings in the German top flight.

Sancho is set to play a big part for England at Euro 2020, and he continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League.

But Zorc says Dortmund are yet to receive an official approach.

"The fact is no other club has contacted us so far about Jadon," he told SportBild.

"[I can’t] reliably answer today [if Sancho will stay at Dortmund beyond the summer]. What I can say for sure is that he feels very comfortable with us. Otherwise he could not produce such [high-level] performances week after week.

"He is a phenomenon and is now producing top performances. And he rarely takes a break on the pitch, helping the team with their defensive work. He is hard-working and gets the greatest of respect from me."

Sancho was helpless to stop Dortmund falling to a surprise DFB-Pokal defeat to Werder Bremen on Tuesday night.

But Erling Haaland did continue his incredible form in front of goal, notching his eighth strike in just four appearances for BVB.
