Borussia Dortmund chief issues Jadon Sancho transfer update amid Man Utd interest

Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke has rubbished reports Manchester United could lure Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford this summer.

The Red Devils continue to be linked with a club-record swoop for the England winger who has established himself as one of Europe's hottest properties.

Sancho, 19, has enjoyed a sensational breakthrough campaign in the Bundesliga - but Watzke is adamant he will not be sold - at any price.

“I don't care about that [the speculation]. Everybody knows that Jadon will play for us next year," he told Goal and DAZN.

“That's a fact and we don't have a price tag for him. And because everybody in Europe knows that nobody contacted us.”

There has also been some suggestion Manchester City , who Sancho left as a youth team player to join Dortmund, may have a clause that allows them first refusal if he is to be sold.

“We never give information about contract details but City has no co-determination right at all," Watzke added.

Sancho has hit nine goals in 35 games in all competitions for Dortmund so far this term.

He made his England debut in Croatia in October and has since gone on to make four appearances for the national team.
