Borna Coric is the latest player to confirm a positive test for Covid-19 from Novak Djokovic’s Adria Tour, one of three new positive tests reported this morning.
On Sunday night, Grigor Dimitrov announced he had the virus, which led to the majority of the field in Zadar being tested.
And on Monday Coric said in a statement: “I wanted to inform you all that I tested positive Covid-19. I want to make sure anyone who has been in contact with me during the last few days get tested. I am really sorry for any harm I might have caused. I’m feeling well and don’t have any symptoms.”
Nick Kyrgios was among those to lead the criticism for going ahead with the event in the midst of a global pandemic. He said: “Boneheaded decision to go ahead with the exhibition speedy recover fells but that’s what happens when you disregard the protocols. This is not a joke.”
