Borna Barisic Rangers free-kick keeper criticism deflected by Falkirk boss with Motherwell loanee in focus

Falkirk co-boss David McCracken refused to blame Motherwell loanee PJ Morrison for Borna Barisic's spectacular free-kick strike in the Betfred Cup 4-0 rout yesterday.

The shot-stopper, who has been tipped as a future Fir Park number one by Stephen Robinson, was in focus against Rangers yesterday after the Croatian international netted the third of the afternoon.

However, when McCracken asked if Morrison was too far to his right-hand post by BBC Sportsound, he said: "I've not seen it back but we will look back and analyse stuff like that once we get the recording.

"The goals were disappointing, the first one especially to lose it so early on when you are trying to get a foothold in the game, but again it was encouraging that the boys kept coming back and trying to get on the ball."
