Rangers star Borna Barisic is again missing from the Croatia squad for their showdown with Spain on Monday.
The Ibrox left-back sat out two of three Euro 2020 group stage clashes before making a late cameo in a decisive 3-1 win over Scotland in Glasgow.
Barisic sustained a back problem prior to the tournament kicking off which has frustratingly curtailed the 28-year-old's involvement.
His return to the fold has proven to be shortlived, with the defender out of Zlatko Dalic's matchday squad as Josko Gvardiol continues on the left hand side of defence for now.
Croatia booked their place in the knockout stage by sweeping Scotland aside last week via goals from Nikola Vlasic, Luka Modric and Ivan Perisic.
Perisic has since tested positive for Covid-19 in a sizeable blow to Dalic's plans.
However, he is the only member of the squad who has so far been forced to isolate.
The experienced Inter Milan winger has been replaced in the side by Milan's Ante Rebic.
Last week, Rangers favourite Barisic revealed he'd been inundated with well-wishes from Scotland after his side dumped Steve Clarke's team out of the competition.
He said: “Even ahead of the tournament and ahead of the match, they wished me good luck.
“After the match, people congratulated me and there were messages that we deserved the win and we deserved to go through and that they were supporting Croatia further on in the tournament which made me very happy. We have a lot of support from Scotland.
“The game against Scotland did give us a lot of confidence and a boost of energy and belief.
