Borna Barisic emerges as Dijon target as French club eye Rangers left back

Borna Barisic is a transfer target for French Ligue 1 club Dijon.

The left back is heading into his second season at Rangers after a disappointing first campaign.

And Dijon could hand him an escape route as they look to replace the outgoing Oussama Haddadi, according to soccerlink.fr.

Barisic joined Rangers from Osijek last summer after impressing in the Europa League but had an injury hit first season.

But he’s started this season as first choice left back with Steven Gerrard praising him for his attitude in pre-season and his performances.

Dijon were almost relegated last season, finishing 18th in the table. They then had to go through a play-off against Lens and defeated them 4-1 on aggregate.

The report states that Barisic would be willing to listen to offers, but it’s unlikely that he would want to drop to a team battling relegation.
