Boris Johnson's biographer Andrew Gimson speaks tonight on "Playing Boswell to Boris Johnson" at the Heath Library in Hampstead. "All those solemn people at the Guardian who told us we could not elect a clown like Boris as Mayor have gone a bit quiet," Gimson says.
You know, Andrew, I haven't gone quiet at all. But then I'm not solemn. Or "from the Guardian" in that sense, as I'm a freelance who works from home. And I don't consider Boris a clown either. Far from it.
