Boris Johnson would do I'm A Celebrity - and is ready to swallow nasty critters

I'm A Celebrity could have its first recruit for the 2020 series in Prime Minister Boris Johnson .

The Conservative party leader is currently making his bid to remain Prime Minister, ahead of the General Election next week.

But if he's unsuccessful, he already has a back-up plan it seems.

Boris shared his opinion on how he felt his father Stanley Johnson did in the jungle when he took part in 2018.

This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were quick to grill the PM on whether he could make an appearance of his own.

Changing the topic back to his dad, he said: "But he was absolutely amazing. I take my hat off to him."

Obviously he may be a little busy running the country if the vote goes his way.

If he does leave Number 10 though, hosts Ant and Dec might have their first contestant for next year.

This Morning airs weekdays and Sundays at 10:30am on ITV.
