Prime Minister Boris Johnson will hold a Downing Street press conference at 5pm.
Mr Johnson will speak on the day the Welsh two-week firebreak ended, and days after a new national lockdown came into force across England.
Mr Johnson will give an update on the latest coronavirus figures - after the data had to be changed amid discrepancies which made it appear the outbreak could be worse than it was.
Mr Johnson could also announce tweaks to the coronavurus lockdown rules and support.
