Prime Minister Boris Johnson is to make an announcement live to the nation on Thursday evening.
The Prime Minster's address from Downing Street will come after Health Secretary Matt Hancock has announced the new tier system for England.
The Health Secretary's announcement in Parliament at 11.30am will decide which tier each area of the country goes into.
It is believed there will be almost nowhere in the country put into Tier One - the lowest level of restrictions.
Later today Mr Johnson will lead a live press conference from Downing Street.
The timing of the announcement has not been set ut they have usually happened at 5pm.
Last week's was delayed until 7pm.
The briefing was confirmed on Thursday morning by Chancellor Rishi Sunak

People will “see a difference” when England’s national lockdown ends next week, Mr Sunak said, despite an expectation that most of the country will be under Tier 2.
The Chancellor told Sky News: “Whichever tier you’re in I think people will see a tangible change.
“That said, things are obviously not normal and I can’t pretend that next week things are going to feel like they were before the spring.”
Mr Sunak confirmed that the Prime Minister Boris Johnson will lead a press conference in Downing Street later on Thursday.
