Boris Johnson will head to Berlin on Sunday for talks about the crisis in Libya.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel is hosting the gathering of world leaders.
The Prime Minister's official spokesman said: "The conflict in Libya has escalated in recent months and threatens to destabilise the wider region.
"This meeting is an opportunity for the UK to come together with international partners and countries in the region to support efforts towards a ceasefire and encourage a return to United Nations-led talks."
