The BBC have been forced to make a big change to their usual schedule for Boris Johnson's announcement tonight.
The Prime Minister is expected to address the nation at 6pm this evening, as coronavirus cases continue to rise across the UK.
He will be joined by Chancellor Rishi Sunak and the chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty.
Mr Johnson is expected to announce a "three tier" lockdown system this evening.
It's expected Mr Johnson will split different parts of England into medium, high, or very high under in local Covid alert areas.
The classification of areas will determine what type of "appropriate interventions" are to be made in them to combat the coronavirus outbreak.
MPs will be asked to debate and vote on the measures later this week.
Liverpool will be placed in the most severe tier, as cases and hospital admissions rocket across the region.
The region's leaders confirmed in a joint statement this morning that pubs, bars, gyms, betting shops, casinos, and adult gaming centres across Liverpool, Wirral, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Halton will close as part of the lockdown restrictions.
Mr Johnson's broadcast will take place at 6pm and will be shown on BBC1.
The national news usually airs at 6pm on BBC1, followed by local news at 6:30pm, but this has been changed for this evening.
Now BBC1 will air the announcement and subsequent reaction from 6-7pm.

Local news will then air at 7pm on the channel and the One Show will be moved to BBC2.
It's not yet known if any other channels will be changing their schedule to air the Prime Minister's announcement.
