Boris Johnson’s girlfriend has been wandering around Gower - accompanied by their dog Dilyn.
Carrie Symonds hit the campaign trail with the Conservative’s candidate for Gower , Francesca O’Brien.
She was also accompanied by Conservative councillor for Mayals, Linda Tyler-Lloyd, and her party colleague and councillor for Bishopston , Lyndon Jones.
Councillor Tyler-Lloyd said: “It was lovely to have Carrie in Gower knocking doors with us and her puppy Dilyn was hugely popular.
“I know that she is a passionate environmentalist and animal rights campaigner.
“During her visit she spoke to residents about measures the Conservatives have taken in government to protect the environment, like banning microbeads, and our commitment to the environment going forward.”
Ms Symonds paid a visit to the Rake and Riddle restaurant in Penclawdd , and also visited the village in support of candidate Mrs O’Brien.
Her visit followed that of Sajid Javid, chancellor of the exchequer. Mr Javid joined Conservative campaigners in Gorseinon .
He and Ms Symonds were in Swansea to show support for Francesca O’Brien, daughter of Gower councillor Richard Lewis, who made national headlines at the start of the election campaign, when it was revealed she had written on social media that people on the reality TV show Benefits Street needed “putting down” .
