Boris Johnson's 'friend' Jennifer Arcuri is being lined up for reality TV shows

Boris Johnson’s pal Jennifer Arcuri is keen to carve out a reality TV career in Britain.

The controversial US businesswoman has been in early talks with shows such as Dancing On Ice, I’m A Celebrity and Loose Women.

Ms Arcuri, 34, is at the centre of an alleged conflict of interest investigation involving the Prime Minister.

Insiders say they were impressed by her interview with presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain.

A source close to her said: “Jennifer has been told the I’m A Celeb line-up was full but they were keen.

"She’s been great on TV and producers know she’s entertaining and think she’s got more secrets to spill.”

Ms Arcuri is understood to have enlisted a talent agent and, according to a source, “negotiations are under way.”

There is an investigation into Mr Johnson’s involvement in more than £100,000 worth of taxpayer-funded grants she received while he was London Mayor.

The police watchdog is also probing him over public grants totalling £11,500.

Last month it was revealed Ms Arcuri had received £126,000 of public money for her business ventures, some of which was paid while Mr Johnson was mayor.

It was also revealed the politician, 55, used to visit her London flat – which had a dancing pole – for private “technology lessons”.

Ms Arcuri is also alleged to have received preferential treatment when she went on three overseas trade missions led by the PM, despite her tech summit business not meeting eligibility criteria for the trips.

The initial decisions by officials to exclude her from trips to New York and Tel Aviv were allegedly overturned after interventions by Mr Johnson’s team.

There are now four inquiries into whether Mr Johnson broke rules by doing favours for Ms Arcuri and her tech firms.

Matt Warman, the digital minister, has ordered a review into how a £100,000 grant was awarded in January to Hacker House, a firm run by Ms Arcuri, and has frozen the unpaid £53,000 part of the grant.

Mr Johnson, who has also faced claims he groped a female journalist’s thigh at a boozy lunch 20 years ago, has repeatedly refused to say whether he had a sexual relationship with Ms Arcuri, who moved to California last year with her British partner Matthew Hickey.

She also denies a sexual relationship with the then mayor.

She told how Boris was her “Henry VIII” and she was his “Anne Boleyn” and revealed that Johnson told her: “Jennifer, you’re the Mount Everest every man wants to climb.”

She said: “But the last thing I wanted to be was the girl that showed up, sh***ed him and left.”

She claimed it was “far more rewarding for me to have a friendship with Boris because he was charismatic and fun and a stimulating person.”

ITV said it was not aware of her being signed up to I’m A Celeb.
