'Boris Johnson’s a street corner fraud fleecing the hoodwinked and laughing at voters'

Daily emphasising the con in Conservative, Boris Johnson’s trampled on people every step to the top.

Exploiting and fooling the gullible and duped is the stock in trade of a cynical Prime Minister skilled at self-promotion.

From looking in the mirror to deliberately ruffle that thinning blond barnet to the plastic patriot’s wave of a union flag to pose as champion of the nation, Johnson’s a street corner fraud fleecing the hoodwinked.

Stunts, photo stops, filmed clips, gags, Latin and lies are his simple sword of deceit and toxic shield of British deceit to pull the wool over folks’ eyes.

Evading accountability, dodging interrogators using verifiable facts to pose pertinent questions, is the survival technique of a politician on the run from scrutiny.

Labour leader Keir Starmer has been keen to get out and meet voters (PA)

The greasy charlatan’s done it again ahead of today’s important local, regional and national elections across Great Britain.

Keir Starmer, Nicola Sturgeon, Ed Davey (the Liberal Democrat one) and the rest put themselves forward to face awkward inquisitions across the media and endure trial by television and radio so interested citizens see and hear them on the likes of ITV’s Good Morning Britain and BBC’s Radio 4 Today programme.

Johnson? The coward chickened out as he did at a 2019 General Election where the oily PM was the sole party leader too timid to be grilled by the formidable Andrew Neil.

Newsman Neil’s no wild-eyed Dave Spart foaming Trot but an interviewer who is, like Johnson, on the Right of British politics.

What Johnson feared is no-nonsense Neil’s formidable recall of detail, relentless pursuit of the truth and refusal to take prisoners. What Johnson knew is Neil would expose the lazy PM’s ignorance, hypocrisies, failures and, above all, repeated lies.

Neil’s video throwing down the gauntlet went viral, viewed by millions of people.

Said Neil of his no-show: “The theme running through our questions is trust and why at so many times in his career, in politics and journalism, critics and sometimes even those close to him have deemed him to be untrustworthy.”

Johnson correctly calculated he’d look worse if exposed and the rest is history including that thumping 2019 election win a few days later.

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey has not run from interviews on the campaign trail (PA)

The incompetent sleaze bag’s played the same trick by dodging Susanna Reid and Mishal Hussain in May 2021 and, alas, it may produce a similar outcome when results are announced over the weekend.

Soundbites and staged pictures are the manipulation of democracy by a self-propagandist laughing at voters.

What works for Johnson personally isn’t good for our politics or Britain itself.
