Boris Johnson has suffered his largest revolt since taking office as 99 Tories voted against his plan B measures which included Covid passes.
The passes will force people in England to show their vaccine status or a negative test at nightclubs and crowded venues.
The Plan B measures which passed by 369 votes to 126, were only seen through because Keir Starmer said it was Labour ’s “patriotic duty” to back them.
Speaking after the vote Shadow Health Secretary Wes Streeting said "the rebellions huge" and added "Labour has carried the day - the government has lost its majority."
Former chief whip Mark Harper warned the Prime Minister that he must learn from this otherwise these rebellions will "happen agan and again".
Covid pass rebels included Louie French, who was only elected this month in the Old Bexley and Sidcup by-election.
