Boris Johnson has followed the Queen’s lead after sending a message to the England players ahead of the Euro 2020 final.
The Three Lions find themselves on the brink of glory when they take on Italy tonight at Wembley.
Gareth Southgate can become the first manager since Sir Alf Ramsey to win a major tournament as England manager.
And the Prime Minister has sent a message of support to the players as they gear up ahead of tonight’s finale.
He said: “You have taken England into the final of a major international competition.
“For most people in this country, it is the first time this has happened in all their lives.

“You have forged a band of brothers whose energy and tenacity and teamwork – and sheer flair – seem to shine in everything you do.
“You have lifted the spirits of the whole country, and tomorrow we know you can lift that trophy too.
“We are not just hoping or praying. We believe in you, Gareth, and your incredible squad.
“On behalf of the entire nation, good luck, have a great game – and bring it home!”
It follows the Queen’s congratulations to the Three Lions after sending a letter to the team, recalling the spirit of 1966.
She wrote: "Fifty-five years ago I was fortunate to present the World Cup to Bobby Moore and saw what it meant to the players, management and support staff to reach and win the final of a major international football tournament.

"I want to send my congratulations and that of my family to you all on reaching the final of the European Championships, and send my good wishes for tomorrow with the hope that history will record not only your success but also the spirit, commitment and pride with which you have conducted yourselves."
With Wembley set to welcome 60,000 fans, the final tonight is set to be the loudest event of the year - with millions more watching from home or at the pub.

And Southgate has told supporters to be as vocal as possible and roar the Three Lions to victory.
"The players need to feel that warmth and support. It has definitely helped inspire us," he added.
"Over the last four years the players have knocked down so many barriers, they've come through so many different challenges."
However, after the FA were hit with a UEFA punishment, the England manager has implored fans to respect the national anthems before the final kicks off.
"It's important that our fans always respect the opposition," added Southgate.
"We know that in actual fact, when we play abroad and fans boo our anthem, it probably inspires us even more. We should be respectful."
