Boris Johnson branded 'filthy piece of toerag' by angry constituent on live TV

Boris Johnson has been labelled as a ‘filthy piece of toerag’ by one of his furious constituents on live television.

Sky News presenter Sophie Ridge was speaking to members of the public in the Prime Minister’s Uxbridge and South Ruislip constituency in London when she approached the unknown woman.

But the passer-by quickly blew up even with the mention of Boris Johnson’s name.

“Don’t you ever mention that name in front of me, that filthy piece of toerag”, she interrupted before stomping off.

The irate woman has been hailed by many on social media as a ‘hero’ while #FilthyPieceOfToerag was trending on Twitter .

One of those reactions came from Labour MP David Lammy, who tweeted: "This constituent in Uxbridge sees right through Boris Johnson.”

Of course, it's not the first time the Prime Minister has inspired strong emotions among the public.

Last month a man in Morley, Leeds, shook the Prime Minister's hand and politely asked him: "Please leave my town." He replied: "I will. Very soon."

Comedian and writer David Schneider added: "'Filthy piece of toe-rag' is the new 'Please leave my town'."
