Boris Johnson blasted online for what he DIDN'T do beside David Attenborough

Boris Johnson has been slammed online after he sat beside the legendary Sir David Attenborough without a mask.

The UK Prime Minister was pictured sitting next to the 95-year-old broadcaster at the COP26 climate summit no wearing a mask.

Mr Johnson appeared to be sleeping in the viral image, as all those around him sat with their face masks on as they listened to the speaker.

Palliative care doctor Rachel Clarke took to Twitter to share the image.

She said: "When you're sitting next to 95-year-old Sir David Attenborough and you *still* can't be a**ed to wear a mask.

"Or even stay awake. #COP26".

People were outraged that Mr Johnson decided not to wear a mask accusing the Prime Minister of not having respect for his elders.

One person wrote: "Cases are rising exponentially with 280k+ in the last week & he seems to pick and choose when he wars them.

"I have an exemption but I still wear one. It irritates me daily but I want others to be safe.

"He is sitting next to a very elderly, vulnerable man. Least he could do."

Another said: "I thought it was still a requirement at public indoor spaces in Scotland? Is he breaking the law or does he have a medical exemption that he's never shown before and only applies when he's in Scotland.?"

Others wrote: "A 95-year-old national bloody treasure. I mean, honestly."

However, not everyone agreed with the doctor as some pointed out that Mr Johnson could be exhausted.

One person said: "He is the father of an 18 month old baby with another on the way. Perhaps that explains the exhaustion."

To which a mother of a young child responded to saying: "I'm the mother of a little one, working full time ( have done through this whole pandemic,) and studying for a degree.

"I still manage to wear a mask to try my best to protect those around me.

"Please don't make excuses for what appears to be laziness, ignorance and arrogance."

The Tweet has since gathered over 43 thousand likes as people agree Mr Johnson should wear his mask.
