Boris Johnson and Donald Trump 'spotted' at Rangers as fans sport surgical masks amid coronavirus fears

Rangers supporters were forced into a double take as a pair of supporters were spotted wearing Boris Johnson and Donald Trump masks at Ibrox.

The duo were snapped sporting surgical masks before the last 16 clash with Bayer Leverkusen at Ibrox amid fears over coronavirus.

It was announced on Thursday that 60 Scots have been infected with the illness with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon admitting that number is set to grow in the coming days.

And a Light Blues double act were pictured posing and waving to the cameras ahead of Steven Gerrard 's side facing the red-hot Bundesliga big boys.

Rangers supporters are set to be back at Ibrox on Sunday as they welcome rivals Celtic ahead of the High Noon Premiership showdown.

Rangers hero Ally McCoist admits he was surprised the Euro clash got the go-ahead after a host of Euro sides suspended their top flight fixtures amid the growing pandemic.

He said: "The job of a government is to look after its people and I don't doubt for a minute they're trying to do that. Both the Scottish government and Boris Johnson.

"But I'm hearing both the First Minister and the Prime Minister telling us there are going to be more deaths. It's going to happen, it's inevitable it's going to happen.

"And I hear the First Minister say there might be a clampdown on gatherings of over 500 starting from Monday in Scotland.

"My obvious question would be: why, if it's that serious, are we waiting until Monday?"
