Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds have announced that they are engaged - and they're expecting a baby this summer.
A spokesperson for the prime minister announced the news in a brief statement.
They said: “The Prime Minister and Miss Symonds are very pleased to announce their engagement and that they are expecting a baby in the early summer.”
Mr Johnson, 55, is known to have five children - four with his estranged wife Marina Wheeler, and a fifth as a result of an affair.
However, he faced criticism during the last election campaign for refusing to directly answer how many children he had - leading some to speculate on whether he had more.
Ms Symonds, 31, joined the Conservative Party in 2009 as a press officer and later worked on Mr Johnson's 2010 London mayor campaign.
She became the Conservative Party's head of communications in 2018 but left in August the following year for a job with the Oceana project.
It is believed the couple started dating around two years ago, while Mr Johnson was still married to his ex-wife Ms Wheeler.
Mr Johnson and Ms Wheeler reached a financial settlement earlier this month after announcing their separation in September 2018.
Last year, Ms Symonds became the first unmarried partner of a prime minister to move into Number 10 Downing Street.
The couple share a dog together - a Jack Russell cross called Dilyn.
