Borgue Christmas Fair was held in Borgue Public Hall on Saturday and enjoyed a steady stream of customers looking for special festive gifts and goodies.
Organised by Borgue Community Council, the event raised a total of £357.80 to support local initiatives and activities.
Secretary and main event organiser Nicola Sanderson said: “The fair attracted a wide variety of 16 stalls from local favourites such as Yvonne’s Cupcake Creations to art and crafts favourites Littlehaven art, woodwork and local horncraft to skin care treats from Beechview Botanicals, scented candles, knitted goods and pebble art.
“We were particularly pleased with the number of stallholders from within Borgue Parish itself which demonstrates the rich traditions of creativity and production of local goods in our village.
“We also had meat and eggs from Sanderson of Senwick, Anna Harveys Borgue honey, fancy goods from Mary Kate Brown and beautiful festive floral displays from Betsy Jamieson.
“Despite the poor weather we were delighted with the turn out with many surrounding villages also coming out to support the event alongside local residents.“
