Borgon the Axeboy and the Prince's Shadow by Kjartan Poskitt - review

I thought this book was very funny. It would be suitable for children aged 6 and over. My favourite character is Borgon the Axboy because he makes me laugh. He always has bad luck and makes embarrassing mistakes.

Kjartan Poskitt, Borgon the Axeboy and the Prince

This book was very unusual because it was based in a desert and you wouldn't think of a Viking in a desert but I still like the setting! The story is about a boy called Borgon. Borgon enters a competition and in the first challenge he has to quickly run up to the mountain to get a jewel and run back to where he started. The first person back wins. There are two other challenges but will Borgon finish in first place?
