Borderlands 4 is coming to PC and consoles on Sept. 12, and developers Gearbox have already laid out the plans for the next few months for post-launch content.
Just like its predecessors. Borderlands 2 and 3, the 4th installment will also get additional content once the game goes live. This includes free and paid additions to ensure that the community has enough on its hands once they hit the endgame and complete the main campaign.

Complete Borderlands 4 post-launch content roadmap
The roadmap for Borderlands 4, as shared on Aug. 29 by Gearbox, has plenty of stuff on offer. It begins from the game's launch on Sept. 12, and continues well into Q1 2026 and beyond.
Q4 2025
The content coming to Q4 2025 will be available in two batches: free content and the first Bounty pack.

- Invincible Boss 1: High-level boss variant and arena
- New Legendary Weapons
- New Cosmetics
- New Weather Variant
- Additional Ultimate Vault Hunter mode level
Bounty Pack 1

- Vault Card with 24 cosmetics and four Rerollable gear pieces
- One Vault Hunter style
- One ECHO-4 Drone skin
- One vehicle
Q1 2026
Some massive content plans are in store for the first quarter of next year.

The list of additional content doesn't end here. There will be a separate Weekly Mayhem batch of content that will go live in the upcoming days.
