Bloody Harvest returns today in Borderlands 3, which was the game’s first holiday event after launch last year. There do not appear to be a ton of changes to the actual mechanics of it, you’ll go through the map and fight enemies infected with ghosts for a chance at event-specific loot, but it does arrives with some buffs to both that loot, the terror anointments and then also, a ton of Zane buffs arriving in this patch.
So, what’s changing? There’s a good amount to go through.
Bloody Harvest Loot Changes:
Fearmonger – More bullets per shot per terror level, more damage
Stalker – More damage
Ghast Call Grenade – More damage (I loved this damn grenade, excited to get a level 65 one with anointments).
Terror damage and fire rate anointment – More damage
Terror bonus cryo damage anointment – 50% increased to 75%
Terror reflect bullets anointment – More damage
Terror Amara Phasegrasp anointment – More damage
Terror FL4K Attack Command anointment – More damage
Terror Moze reload nova anointment – More damage
I am frankly not that wild to see Terror return as a fixture of this event, given that I think centering an event around anointments and weapons that effectively only function during this event is not great. I didn’t like it last year and I wish there were more changes than just buffs to terror-based guns and anoints. But we’ll see how it goes.
Weapon Buffs:
Dahl Burst weapons – Increased fire rate for all non-legendary AR, SMGs and Pistols
Lasersploder – Increased damage scaling and magazine size
Conference Call – Initial target now hit with extra projectiles
Maggie – More damage
Psycho Stabber – More melee damage
Masterwork Crossbow – More damage
Zane Buffs:
Cold Bore – Massively buffed damage because it only applies to first shot of the weapon when swapped to. Supposed to be use for small mag guns (Hellwalker, anyone?), snipers, etc.
Duct Tape – Grenade cooldown reduced by half so you can spam those more frequently.
Like a Ghost – Increased chance to ignore bullets, increased the bonus for active action skills.
Trick of the Light – Increased damage bonus
Best Served Cold – More damage from cryo novas
Frutility Belt – More damage reduction
Anti-Freeze Class Mod – More movement speed when taking cryo damage
Conductor Class Mod – More damage
Executor Class Mod – More damage
Techspert Class Mod – More chance for SNTNL to recharge instantly
While I really like the class mod changes here, I don’t think this solves the fundamental problem with Zane that literally every class mod remains worse than Seein’ Dead. That should just be the last node in his blue tree, and it would instantly make Zane class mod selection much more diverse.
Anyway, this should all be live later today, and I’m looking forward to trying out buffed Zane especially to see how that goes. See you out there.
