Two Victorian men are accused of hiding more than $10 million of methylamphetamine inside a tow truck near the border of NSW.
Police pulled over a tow truck on the Hume Highway near Wodonga about midnight on Tuesday, while on "roving patrols" to enforce border restrictions.
Forensic examination revealed more than 15kg of methylamphetamine was inside the truck, with an estimated street value of $10 million.
The tow truck, which had Victorian number plates, was seized by detectives along with another vehicle on the back of the truck.
Wodonga Criminal Investigation Unit senior sergeant Garry Barton said increased border patrols had made it easier for police to identify and stop criminal behaviour.
"This is a significant drug bust, as we know the harm substances such as methylamphetamine cause to our communities," he said.
A Balnarring man, 28, and a Frankston man, 36, face charges including trafficking a commercial quantity drugs.
The pair have also been fined for breaching chief health officer directions.
They will appear in Wodonga Magistrates Court on October 14.
