Laurent Koscielny's future at Arsenal could be resolved very soon.
A signing from Lorient in the summer of 2010, the Frenchman has been a key player for the north London outfit ever since and was part of the side which ended the club's long trophy drought with the FA Cup win in 2014.
With a year left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, it was assumed that Koscielny would see out his deal and leave on a free transfer at the end of the 2019/2020 campaign.
However, events which have transpired over the past fortnight suggest his exit could be fast-tracked.
The big news is that Koscielny stunned the club by refusing to go on tour to the United States and the club captain is set to face disciplinary action.
Although the most likely scenario is that he leaves before deadline day.
It's understood that Koscielny wants his contract terminated in order to facilitate a move back home amid interest from Rennes, Lyon and Bordeaux.
But with funds reportedly limited for head coach Unai Emery this summer, the Gunners are said to be demanding at least £9m to part company with the centre-back.
Reports in France claim Rennes are the front-runners for his signature and according to Ouest-France have called a press conference for later today, but the defender's availability was discussed by Bordeaux boss Paulo Sousa.

"I have already said it, he is not our player," Sousa told reporters . "He is a player that every team would like to have because of his experience, the quality of his play and everything that he represents in football.
"We are in the market for central defenders because Jules Koundé has left and so we are looking for another player to replace him. All talks are ongoing but once again he is not our player.
"We are working hard to give ourselves the chance to have a player with his characteristics."
