Borat 2: release date, trailer and how to watch on Amazon Prime Video

Sacha Baron Cohen is reprising his infamous Borat character in a sequel that is coming to Amazon Prime Video.

Borat 2 will be distributed by Amazon Studios and is scheduled for release on October 23, 2020.

The original mockumentary - Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan to give it's full title - was released in 2006 and chronicled the journey a Kazakh resident on a mission to learn about the USA.

Creator Cohen in the year's since has written, produced and starred in a series of movies and TV shows from Bruno to Les Miserables.

He recently reignited his interest in the United States and political satire with his Showtime/Channel 4 series Who Is America?

Following the release of the original, Cohen had made the decision to discontinue the character - although he did make a brief reappearance in a segment on the Jimmy Kimmel Show in 2018.

The recent announcement for the sequel has already had plenty of attention and is seen as an impressive scoop for Amazon.
