Boots breaks silence after shoppers question where '3 for 2' Christmas deal has gone

Boots has finally addressed speculation over its annual 'three for two' sale after shoppers accused it of being culled over the weekend.

While the retailer has already launched its Christmas sale lines, customers were quick to notice that its annual promotion has been swapped for a 25% off reduction instead - offering less in savings.

The annual sale, which includes gift sets from brands such as Ted Baker, Yankee Candle, Soap and Glory and more, allows you to pick up the cheapest item for free.

But instead, shoppers noticed a different deal - with items marked '25% off selected products'.

And customers aren't happy.

"Are you not running the 3 for 2 promotion this year?" one confused shopper wrote on Twitter.

Another concerned customer added: "I went to my local store with my love2shop vouchers from Park to find out you're not running 3 for 2. I want to support my local high street store but I just can't on principle. I paid money in for the vouchers & the 3 for 2 offer made my money go further."

While Boots is yet to confirm an exact date, it has confirmed that it will be back in the run up to Christmas.

So if you're hoping to cash in on cheaper, free gifts, hold out for a little longer.

A spokesperson for Boots said: "Every year we aim to offer better savings for our customers throughout the festive period.

"We aim to improve our savings throughout the festive period every year.

"Our customers tell us how much they value 3 for 2 when they have lots of gifts to buy, however, we know not all of our customers want or need to buy 3 gifts, so, this year we’re introducing new and different ways to help all our customers get great value at Boots, whatever their budget.

"Customers can expect to see either 3 for 2 or save 25% discount offers go live on amazing giftsets in the run up to Christmas, and don’t forget our unmissable Big Deals which are available until stocks last.

To summarise, the 3 for 2 isn't going to be removed over Christmas, but Boots are building upon their customer offering to deliver more than the usual 3 for 2 deals.
