Boots pharmacy expected to reopen tomorrow after body found

Boots pharmacy in Bristol city centre is expected to reopen tomorrow (Wednesday) after a body was discovered at the store.

The body of a man was at around 5.30am on Tuesday, May 28, at the St Augustine’s Parade outlet, near the Bristol Hippodrome theatre.

Police have confirmed that the death is being treated as non-suspicious and has been referred to the coroner as a sudden death.

The pharmacy was taped off all day on Tuesday as investigations took place.

But Boots UK has said that the store is expected to reopen at some point on Wednesday.

Patients who need to collect prescriptions have also been redirected to pharmacies in Broadmead and Queens Road until the closure is lifted.

A Boots UK spokesperson said: “Our store team are doing all they can to help the police with their investigation into this very sad event.

“We’re helping patients to get their medicines from our other pharmacies on Broadmead and Queens Road.

“We currently expect the St Augustine’s Parade store to reopen at some point tomorrow.”
