Boots expand its range of vegan food choices for Veganuary 2020

One of the biggest challenges of a vegan lifestyle is finding a plant-based lunch on the go.

While the number of people going vegan has risen over the past few years, 91% of vegans still struggle to find suitable ‘grab and go’ food options.

Which is why Boots has decided to expand its range of vegan food alternatives in stores nationwide, just in time for Veganuary.

From sarnies to snacks, there are four items in the collection that have been available since December 30th.

The delicious new choices include a 'No Cheese and Chutney Sandwich' (£3), 'Vegan Southern Fried Wrap' (£3), 'Veggie Quinoa Sushi' (£3.15) and Deliciously Ella Nut Butter Balls (£1.99).

If you're watching the pennies this month, you'll be pleased to hear that each of new options are part of the popular Boots Meal Deal - which allows customers to bag a main, snack and drink for £3.39.

But Boots isn't the only UK brand to step up its plant-based game for Veganuary.

Bakery chain Greggs recently launched a vegan steak bake , which follows the huge success of its vegan sausage roll in 2019.

Elsewhere, KFC has brought back its famous vegan burger as a permanent menu item - and it's available nationwide.
