Boots donates hundreds of products to staff at Queen's Medical Centre

Health and beauty retailer, Boots, are helping to support the NHS staff working on the front line with a donation of essential products.

More than 500 hygiene products and toiletries have been gifted by Boots to staff at Queen's Medical Centre to show their appreciation for the work being done.

The donation, which arrived at Queen’s Medical Centre yesterday (March 25), included hundreds of toothpastes, shower gels, shampoos and deodorants to ensure the hardworking team have access to hygiene essentials and vital wash stations between busy shifts.

It comes as the Prime Minister revealed more than 500,000 people across the country have signed up to be an NHS volunteer in little over 24 hours after Boris Johnson appealed to find 250,000 to help out.

Seb James, Managing Director of Boots UK said: “During this time of unprecedented challenge for the team at Queen’s Medical Centre, we wanted to show our appreciation for the world-class care the NHS provides for the people of Nottingham every single day, many of whom are Boots colleagues and customers.”

NUH Deputy Chief Nurse, Sarah Moppett, said:“This is one of many incredible acts of kindness that we are seeing towards our staff, from businesses and members of the community.

"This kind donation of over 500 toiletries and hygiene products really will make a difference to our staff and we say a big thank you to Boots at what is a difficult time for everybody, thank you."
